Des 1945, la litterature n’a cesse de fleurir relativement au Messerschmitt 262, premier avion de chasse a reaction de l’histoire a avoir ete largement engage en combat. Si on a souvent decrit les victoires remportees par le "Schwalbe" (hirondelle), peu se sont attardes sur les pertes de cet appareil trop vite mis en ligne bien qu’il fut toujours affecte par de serieuses ‘maladies de jeunesse’. Ce livret tente de combler ce vide en donnant non seulement une liste des pertes connues de ce bimoteur revolutionnaire mais egalement de courtes biographies d’un grand nombre d’aviateurs qui en prirent les commandes. A la fin de la guerre, les pilotes de "Schwalbe" arriverent en effet de divers horizons, ce qui permet d’apprehender les hommes qui lutterent avec cet appareil lors des derniers mois du crepuscule de la Luftwaffe. | |
