Работа посвящена изучению социальных процессов в аланском обществе эпохи раннего средневековья, находящих отражение в погребальном обряде, и заключается в попытке выделения социальных рангов (стратов, групп) среди аланского населения разных регионов Северного Кавказа в эпоху, предшествующую образованию государства. Социальная реконструкция аланского общества IV - IX вв. проводится на материалах археологических экспедиций с использованием более 1000 погребальных комплексов. Автором выделены локальные варианты катакомбного обряда погребения. Рассмотрение соотношения площади камеры катакомбы и количества погребенных в ней, а также выделение социальных групп по погребальному инвентарю произведено с привлечением всей имеющейся в распоряжении автора информации. | |
