(Рукопашный бой Абвера) Essentially, Abwehr Englischer Gangster-Methoden - Stilles Toten was compiled due the Wehrmacht intelligence operatives uncovering of a British hand-to-hand course for the SOE, Commandos, et al, on methods of quick and silent killing (undoubtedly developed by W. E. Fairbairn and E. A. Sykes). They correctly assessed that their troops in general and particularly the Geheime Staatspolizei (Gestapo), Sicherheitsdienst (SD), their security guards, and sentries would be in grave danger when confronted my men trained in these methods. The following manual/program was the Wehrmacht’s response. Included at the end of the discourse is an English translation.
