He explains the synergies between these technologies and the disruptive potential that they will offer, as well as the challenges and risks to making it happen. He offers an insightful guide through the difficult decisions that businesses and society must make to thrive in a new era where decisions will be difficult, and uncertainties abound. You'll discover how and why AI's power is now exploding, its growth driven by smarter approaches to neural networks trained on a new hardware architecture that can derive its intelligence from ever more massive datasets. AI refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines, enabling them to perform tasks that had previously required human cognitive functions. From recognizing patterns in vast datasets to making recommendations for decision-making, AI is transforming industries such as healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. AI-powered virtual assistants, self-driving cars, and personalized content recommendations are just a glimpse of its potential. The significance of AI lies in its ability to automate complex tasks, enhance efficiency, and uncover insights hidden within data. Recent advances in Deep Learning have expanded beyond focusing on analyzing complex data sets to make predictions to generate entirely new content in data, text, speech, and image. |

Название: IPv6 Network Slicing: Offering New Experience for Industries Автор: Zhenbin Li, Jie Dong, Yawei Zhang Издательство: CRC Press Год: 2024 Страниц: 445 Язык: английский Формат: pdf (true) Размер: 10.9 MB
This book is an essential guide to IPv6 network slicing. It covers both the fundamentals and cutting-edge technologies of IPv6 network slicing, and provides insights into future industry developments. IP network slicing is an architectural innovation that provides multiple dedicated logical networks on a shared physical network. It comprises a complete set of solutions designed to meet the differentiated service requirements of the 5G and cloud era. This book focuses on IP network slicing based on the data plane of IPv6, a second-generation network layer protocol standard designed to address many of the problems encountered with IPv4. The book explores the technical implementation of IPv6 network slicing by introducing its architecture, implementation solutions, resource partitioning technologies, data plane technologies, and control plane technologies. The development of 5G gave rise to the emergence of network slicing, which was initially applied to 5G mobile transport networks and then extended to support fixed and enterprise services. Today, it can also be applied to IP metro and backbone networks. Currently, IP network slicing, which plays an important role in supporting the 2B services of carriers, is being widely applied and deployed. In terms of realizing the IP‑based Service‑Level Agreement (SLA) guarantee, IP network slicing can be considered a significant leap forward. Initially, IP networks used Quality of Service (QoS) technologies such as DiffServ to guarantee service quality on single devices. Later, Traffic Engineering (TE) technologies such as Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) TE were developed to provide service quality guarantee through TE paths. Now, IP network slicing is introduced to guarantee service quality through network‑wide resource isolation. Moreover, compared with establishing physical private networks, deploying IP network slicing helps to significantly reduce costs. IPv6 plays a pivotal role in IP network slicing. |
