This textbook provides an all-in-one approach for learning about hardware security of cryptographic systems. The Raspberry Pi Pico has 6 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs, 6 analogue inputs and 2 analogue outputs, so you can easily learn sequence control, although it is a bit limited.
