Название: Text and Math Into LaTeX, 6th Edition Автор: George Grätzer Издательство: Springer Год: 2024 Страниц: 628 Язык: английский Формат: pdf (true) Размер: 33.0 MB
For more than 30 years, this comprehensive manual has been the standard introduction and complete reference for writing articles and books containing mathematical formulas. This sixth edition uses a slightly changed title, Text and Math into LaTeX, to emphasize the importance of text in mathematical/scientific composition. Sections that contained commands no longer much needed (such as includeonly) and the introductory sections to PDF (now ubiquitous) have been omitted. Many sections are now enhanced with discussion of new and useful packages. An occasional encouragement for the reader to consult ChatGPT for confirmation on various points illustrates the positive relationship between ChatGPT and LaTeX. LaTeX is widely used in many fields, including mathematics, Computer Science, engineering, physics, chemistry, economics, and linguistics. (ChatGPT lists 45 fields). Part I provides a quick introduction to LATEX, from typing examples of text and math to typing your first article such as on that shown on page 4 and similarly: creating your first presentation, such as the sample presentation, in a very short time. The rest of the book provides a detailed exposition of LATEX. LATEX has a huge collection of rules and commands. While the basics in Part I should serve you well in all your writing, most articles and presentations will also require to look up some special topics. |

Название: Frame Theory in Data Science Автор: Zhihua Zhang, Palle E.T. Jorgensen Издательство: Springer Год: 2024 Страниц: 262 Язык: английский Формат: pdf (true), epub Размер: 39.3 MB
This book establishes brand-new frame theory and technical implementation in Data Science, with a special focus on spatial-scale feature extraction, network dynamics, object-oriented analysis, data-driven environmental prediction, and climate diagnosis. Given that Data Science is unanimously recognized as a core driver for achieving Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, these frame techniques bring fundamental changes to multi-channel data mining systems and support the development of digital Earth platforms. This book integrates the authors' frame research in the past twenty years and provides cutting-edge techniques and depth for scientists, professionals, and graduate students in Data Science, applied mathematics, environmental science, and geoscience. In this book, we have established the theory of Dirac frames, polynomial frames, quasiorthogonal frames, periodic frames, and frame trees, and characterized adaptive segmentation of data spectral domain by quasi-orthogonal and pseudo-project frame operators. As an emerging branch of statistical and Deep Learning, frame networks can automatically acquire novel knowledge from observation data through a statistical learning process and then makes reliable predictions and downscaling. A frame network consists of three layers: the input layer, the hidden layer, and the output layer, where various frames are embedded into each node of the hidden layer and frame coefficients are used as the weight of the directed edges from one node to another node. |

If you use Linux in your day-to-day work, then Linux Pocket Guide is the perfect on-the-job reference. This thoroughly updated 20th anniversary edition explains more than 200 Linux commands, including new commands for file handling, package management, version control, file format conversions, and more. In this concise guide, author Daniel Barrett provides the most useful Linux commands grouped by functionality. Whether you're a novice or an experienced user, this practical book is an ideal reference for the most important Linux commands. This book is a short guide, not a comprehensive reference. I cover important, useful aspects of Linux so you can work productively. I do not, however, present every single command and every last option (my apologies if your favorite was omitted), nor delve into detail about operating system internals. Short, sweet, and essential—that’s our motto. I focus on commands, those pesky little words you type on a command line to tell a Linux system what to do. |

A friendly illustrated guide to designing and implementing your first database. Data is the backbone of computer science, and databases are the main way that data is stored, exchanged, manipulated, and managed. Whether you’re a software developer, a data scientist, or an enthusiastic business user looking to up your data analysis skills, it pays to learn how to create and query relational databases like MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. Grokking Relational Database Design will get you started! Grokking Relational Database Design teaches the art of database design through real-world projects, insightful illustrations, and action-oriented learning. Unlike many beginning database books that focus on the technical details of SQL and formal database theory, this book teaches you how to think about relational database design from the ground up, so you’ll create databases that are a joy to use for a long time. Everything in this book is reinforced by hands-on exercises and examples. You’ll quickly design, implement, and optimize a database for an e-commerce application like the ones you use every day. You’ll also explore how generative AI tools such as ChatGPT radically simplify the mundane tasks of database design. Suitable for self-taught programmers, engineers, data scientists, and business data users. No previous experience with relational databases required. |

Название: Raspberry Pi OS System Administration: Ancillary Topics Автор: Robert M. Koretsky Издательство: CRC Press Серия: Raspberry Pi OS System Administration with systemd Год: 2025 Страниц: 293 Язык: английский Формат: pdf (true) Размер: 22.2 MB
The fourth volume in a new series exploring the basics of Raspberry Pi Operating System administration, this installment builds on the insights provided in Volumes 1, 2, and 3 to provide a compendium of easy-to-use and essential Raspberry Pi OS administration for the novice user, with specific focus on ancillary topics that can be used with the Raspberry Pi OS based upon upstream Debian Bookworm release, and the Raspberry Pi 5. The overriding idea behind system administration of a modern, 21st-century Linux system such as the Raspberry Pi OS is the use of systemd to ensure that the Linux kernel works efficiently and effectively to provide these three foundation stones of computer operation and management: computer system concurrency, virtualization, and secure persistence. This book is aimed at students and practitioners looking to maximize their use of the Raspberry Pi OS. With plenty of practical examples, projects, and exercises, this volume can also be adopted in a more formal learning environment to supplement and extend the basic knowledge of a Linux operating system. |

Название: Future Communication Systems Using Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Data Science Автор: Inam Ullah, Inam Ullah Khan, Mariya Ouaissa Издательство: CRC Press Год: 2024 Страниц: 253 Язык: английский Формат: pdf (true) Размер: 16.0 MB
Future Communication Systems Using Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Data Science mainly focuses on the techniques of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Science for future communications systems. The goal of AI, IoT and data science for future communications systems is to create a venue for industry and academics to collaborate on the development of network and system solutions based on Data Science, AI and IoT. Recent breakthroughs in IoT, mobile and fixed communications and computation have paved the way for a data‑centric society of the future. New applications are increasingly reliant on machine‑to‑machine connections, resulting in unusual workloads and the need for more efficient and dependable infrastructures. Such a wide range of traffic workloads and applications will necessitate dynamic and highly adaptive network environments capable of self‑optimization for the task at hand while ensuring high dependability and ultra‑low latency. Networking devices, sensors, agents, meters and smart vehicles/systems generate massive amounts of data, necessitating new levels of security, performance and dependability. Such complications necessitate the development of new tools and approaches for providing successful services, management and operation. Data Science is basically utilized to extract meaningful information generated by Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) devices. This will open new opportunities for researchers, engineers and scientists. The merger of AI, IoT and Data Science will enhance communication systems. This book provides detailed information about future communication systems. Also, it explains the relationship between AI, IoT and Data Science. |
